Non chiamatelo stilista. E’ un writer che intreccia fili e colori. Luca Larenza, campano doc, è un creativo della maglieria per uomo. Un percorso non accademico che si è nutrito di arte (Luca ha dipinto graffiti in giro per l’Europa per circa dieci anni) coniugato con l’attenzione al prodotto (maturata attraverso l’esperienza nel retail).
“Fashion designer?… No, quite creative!” This is the definition that best describes Luca Larenza. He did not choose the same path as everyone else. His way is not affected by the conventionality of any fashion school, but by experience of exploring the world and design his own way. Luca lets himself be captured by the art of graffiti and silhouettes of shapes while keeping a strong awareness to colors.
After studying law he moved to Madrid to take a Master in Fashion Management which led him to enter the fashion world as a buyer. Driven by the passion of a dream to succeed as a designer he moved to Milan, the fashion capital of the world, where he started a collaboration with Angelo Fusco.
The collaboration continued to inspire Luca to start for himself and in 2008 he founded his namesake brand dedicated to menswear. In 2011 this resulted in him being selected as a finalist at prestigious challenge for emerging menswear talents “Who is the next? Uomo” a collaboration between Pitti Immagine Uomo, Alta Roma and Uomo Vogue. Knitwear and outwear underlines the identity of the brand, while a stylistic vision is expanding the design towards a more dynamic and diverse fashionable look. Thus was the style of a bohemian metropolitan created by Luca Larenza’s self though imagination.
